The ~20GB download covers the iconic Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission, letting you control Cloud Strife as he takes on the Shinra forces. This demo also has carry-over progression with the full game and unlocks Revival Earrings (auto-revive once) and a Survival Set accessory bundle at launch.
If you like what you see, and decide you want to pre-order, there is a digital pre-order offer to receive the original Final Fantasy VII as a bonus.
Switch 2 Performance Impresses
I played the first section of the demo last night and was very impressed with the visuals and performance, it looks fantastic. The specs are 1080p docked and 720p handheld, with a stable frame rate around 30fps. The effects and character models are all top notch, and the demo serves as an ideal showcase for Switch 2's power, especially for RPG fans who may have been on the fence out how this would run on the go.
So, go fire up your Switch 2 a give this demo a try for yourself. It's great to see Cloud in action again, looking better than we ever imagined he could back in '97.
