Are We Getting More Witcher 3 in 2026?

There are rumors on the wind of fresh content coming for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt next year! Just as CD Projekt RED stars to ramp up hype machine for its next Witcher trilogy. Polish financial analysts at Noble Securities have forecasted a major paid DLC dropping in May 2026, potentially serving as a "narrative bridge" to The Witcher 4 which is expected in late 2027. While it may seem far-fetched, this isn't just idle internet speculation; it's tied to financial predictions on CDPR's roadmap, and it gives us real hope that we may get more Geralt before the Witcher torch is passed to Ciri in the sequels.
Rumors and Murmurings
Noble Securities' updated report, led by analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski, outlines an aggressive timeline: Witcher 3's expansion launches first, kicking off marketing for Witcher 4 immediately after. Priced around $30, the DLC, possibly developed by Fool's Theory (The Witcher 1 remake team), could introduce story elements prepping Ciri's lead role in the new trilogy.
Gaming news sites amplified the rumors by noting it aligns with CDPR's 11th anniversary for Witcher 3 May 2015 launch. Currently, the expectation is that the new DLC would be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. There is an outside chance we could also see it for Switch 2, perhaps with a Switch 2 edition upgrade of the base game, but there hasn't been any mention of that yet. While all of this is still unconfirmed by CDPR, it makes sense, and would provide a great way to drive interest in The Witcher again leading up to the release of Witcher 4..
