Resident Evil Village Headlines A Great Slate of Games

Resident Evil Village Screen

Resident Evil Village, Capcom's 2021 survival horror masterpiece, makes a triumphant return to Xbox Game Pass on January 20 for Ultimate, Premium, and PC players. This is perfect timing ahead of Resident Evil Requiem's upcoming release. Now everyone can dive into a nightmarish journey through a gothic European village plagued by lycans, vampires, and mutant horrors.

That's not all we're getting though, there is a little something for everyone in this release wave. So, if RE horror isn't your thing, check out the other titles on offer.

  • Star Wars Outlaws (January 13 – Ultimate/PC/Cloud): The galaxy's first true open-world Star Wars adventure. Play as scoundrel Kay Vess and her cute companion Nix, pulling off heists, dogfights, and crime syndicate takedowns between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Vast planets, speeder chases, and blaster combat make it a space opera dream.

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition (January 7 – Premium/PC/Cloud): The remastered classic third-person shooter from Relic Entertainment and SEGA, where you are Ultramarines Captain Titus purging Orkz and Chaos horrors from the forge world of Graia with your trusty bolter and chainsword. This version has all DLC included as well as 4K resolution at 60 FPS on Series X and PC.

  • Atomfall (January 7 – Premium/PC/Cloud): A survival-action game inspired by real-life events, Atomfall is set five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster in Northern England. Explore the fictional quarantine zone, scavenge, craft, barter, fight and talk your way through a British countryside setting filled with bizarre characters, mysticism, cults, and rogue government agencies.

Microsoft is Still Working to Earn Your Sub

After the big price increases in 2025, we all wondered if Game Pass was still worth it. In my eyes, this first batch of games for 2026 is a strong start. Resident Evil Village and Star Wars Outlaws are both great gets for an otherwise slow January. You should at least get your money worth this month, and hopefully this is a good sign of what's to come this year.
