Sony State of Play Returns Feb 12: 60+ Minutes of PS5 Third-Party Fireworks!
Sony just dropped a bombshell: A massive State of Play streams this Thursday, February 12, 2026, clocking in at over 60 minutes, way longer than the usual 30-40 min showcases we are used to. Expect a global lineup of news, gameplay deep dives, and announcements spotlighting eye-catching third-party and indie titles for PS5, plus fresh looks from PlayStation Studios teams. This is our first State of Play for 2026, and a perfect response to the great Partner Showcase we got from Nintendo last week.

Hype Train: What Could Drop?

No specific games teased yet, but the blog hints at third-party heavy-hitters and indies with PS Studios sprinkled in. That means we could get Wolverine updates, DMC6 whispers, FF7 Rebirth Part 3, or maybe some surprise ports. The epic runtime has fans hoping for something big, like a Bloodborne 2 announcement or maybe even a new GTA6 Trailer. But we'll believe that when we see it. There have also recently been rumors of a new fully portable system coming from Playstation, maybe we'll get a hardware reveal as well.
Make sure to set a reminder and get your snacks ready for Thursday, it looks like we're kicking off 2026 with a bang!
