Marvel Cosmic Invasion: Iron Man and Phoenix Lead Earth's Defense on December 1st

Marvel fans, assemble, the invasion force is almost here! Publisher Dotemu and developer Tribute Games dropped the official release date trailer for Marvel Cosmic Invasion today, locking in a December 1, 2025, launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

This 2D beat 'em up throws you into a star-spanning adventure where Annihilus unleashes his insectoid Annihilation Wave from the Negative Zone, threatening all life from New York streets to cosmic voids. Assemble duos from a 15-hero roster to swap mid-fight, unleashing tag-team combos in classic arcade style, and perfect for solo Cosmic Swap action or co-op chaos with friends.

The trailer gives us a some great new gameplay footage, kicking off with Ultimate Iron Man and fiery Phoenix blasting swarms of baddies in several difference environments. The whole trailer is packed full of screen filling special moves from the cast of characters, and several nods to Marvel locations and enemies. You can check it out for yourself below.

Ready to suit up and fight off this Cosmic Invasion? The free Steam demo is still live, letting you sample the first level and a small selection of heroes.
